Palo Santo literally translates into "Holy Wood" and has been used for hundred of years in South America for many different applications. This woody smelling cousin to frankincense has a history of holistic uses and has been known to be very grounding and relaxing
Not much research has been done on Palo Santo, besides from its roots in South America and the belief of warding off evil spirits, but from a smell standpoint, it is a unique smell. If cedar, citrus and mint had a baby, Palo Santo would be it.
